I have just completed work as Motion Graphics Artist, Editor, Colourist and VFX artist in order to complete the trailer for Sunday Times Best Selling Author Giles Kristian's new thriller 'Where Blood Runs Cold'
This was an adaptation of the trailer we created for the Hardback release, Directed by Philip Stevens with a score by Jonny Gillard.
Using a combination of Adobe After Effects, Photoshop, Premiere and DaVinci Resolve I created a number of 2D cards (video, stills and custom character animations) and 3D cameras to simulate 3D parallax. Particle layers and systems were then used to give atmospheric depth whilst helping to transition between compositions.
Lastly, custom grunge maps, vignettes and LOOKs were developed and applied in DaVinci Resolve to give the trailer an overall textural granularity and patina, mimicking the cold, rugged beauty of the locations described in the book.
